Inspiration: Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly, Tifa Lockhart (Final Fantasy VII), Esmeralda (Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame) Theme: Eternity - Memory of Light waves (Final Fantasy X-2) Bio: Tian Li lived a relatively peaceful life on Destiny Islands with her three best friends, Kairi, Riku, and Sora. However, ever since she was little Tian would have dreams in which she would wake up crying from. These ‘nightmares’ used to lead to violet weak-ups, such as Tian screaming at the top of her lungs. This got better as she got older, but it made Tian feel like there was something wrong with her. The fact that her teachers would suggest therapy never helped. When Tian was fourteen, at the start of summer break she worked with her friends to build a raft and travel to other worlds. The evening before they were to set sail, Tian had Riku promise that the four of them would be together during their journey. That night a storm rolled into the islands, despite Tian’s fear of storms, she went out to check on the raft, only to find Sora, Kairi, and Riku where already there. The first person she found, however, was Sora, and a horde of strange, black creatures. These creatures, could only be destroyed by Sora’s new weapon, which he called a ‘Keyblade.’ After Sora battled a giant-sized creature, the two were separated by the force of the wind. In the world of Traverse Town, Tian was found by a young man named Zidane, who brought her to safety from the Heartless outside. When she woke up, she was surprised to find Kuroi, an older boy she knew from school. He criticized Tian for wanting to find her friends, after she was told they might not be there. But, despite this the trio went out in search of Tian’s friends, only to quickly come across a horde of Heartless, and only Zidane was armed. When Tian shoved Zidane out of the way from a sneak attack she obtained her own Keyblade, Aubade. Encouraged by Zidane to run, due to the increasing number of Heartless, Tian blindlessly ran to the Third District where she tripped over Sora, Donald, and Goofy, the latter of the two surprised to find not one, but two Keyblades. Together, the quartette took out the Guard Armor, and was encouraged by Leon, Yuffie, Zidane, and Aerith to travel together, especially if the islanders wanted to find their friends. After Donald give both Sora and Tian the ability to use magic, boarded the Gummi Ship, only to find that Kuroi had not only snuck on board, he was hell bent on coming along for the ride. Through out their travels to different worlds, Tian’s nightmares being to become a bit more vivid, while she can never see their face, there’s almost always someone close to her. While inside Monstro it becomes apparent that Riku has already found Kairi, and has no business to work with Sora and Tian to help her. Not only that, there’s a young man named Long who seems to have it out for Tian. He’s always telling Tian that ‘she’s been waiting all this time,’ though Tian has no clue who ‘she’ is. It’s not until Donald and Goofy give the young teens an uplifting speech does it come back to her all at once. Long is, in fact Tian’s older brother, and the ‘she’ he would mention is Tian’s twin sister, Yue. As a small child, Tian lived in the world, Yong Heng De, ruled by four families, Li, Wang, Guo, and Huang. Her mother, Li-hua, was head of the Li family, something very uncommon for a young woman. In this world twins were considered a bad omen. In order to keep the piece, by the time the twins turned thirteen the weaker twin would die at the hands of the stronger twin. The siblings father, Adrian, was a man much older than Li-hua, who had his own secrets. Shortly before the twins fourth birthday an old friend of Adrian’s came to visit for a few days. While Tian saw nothing wrong with this man, Yue was very much afraid of him, and wished he would leave. One night, during a storm, the twins were denied comfort from Long, and overheard Adrian speaking with his friend. Everything flew above Tian’s head, but what seemed innocent enough turned to horror when Adrian stabbed Yue with his own Keyblade. The last thing Tian could remember clearly was the man she always though was her father, Zuan suppressing her memories under Li-hua’s request. While heading to Hollow Bastion Tian witness, what she can assume was Yue’s earliest memories. In which Yue accepted a semi-sentient light into her heart. What this mean’s, Tian has no idea. The last time Tian spoke with Riku one-on-one was on Hooks ship, after Long locked her in the Captain’s stateroom. She asked him if he ever thought of her as a girl, or if she was just one of the guys. This is something Tian is rather insecure about, though Tian‘s not sure why(she later realizes it‘s because she was falling for Riku). Though, Riku later admitted he never really thought about it. In Hollow Bastion, Tian falls behind to speak with Long. However, according to Long, she’s too late. Convinced that Yue want’s nothing to do with her, the strength of her heart falters, and Tian cannot summon her Keyblade. Surprisingly enough, Kuroi helps to lift both Key-bearers spirits with the help of the Beast. With a new resolve, and a declaration that she still loves Long and Yue, she’s able to summon her Keyblade once more. While fighting the witch Maleficent, comments how much like Adrian Tian is, revealing that she, in fact, raised him. To which Tian insists she’s not Adrian. When the group finally finds both Kairi and Yue, the girl’s are in a comatose state. Riku, possessed by Ansem, the Seeker of Darkness, reveals that not only had Yue’s heart taken refuge inside Tian, but that Yue’s heart carries a piece of Kingdom Hearts, something that grants her the ability to open and close the Door to Darkness. While fighting with a possessed Riku, she’s stabbed straight through with his Keyblade. Despite the fact that her strength was waning, and with a confidence that he could hear her, Tian apologized to Riku that she made him feel left out. Now that Tian’s heart was released, Yue’s was finally able to return to her own body. And after seeing these results, Sora turned Riku’s Keyblade on himself. Shortly after, however, Sora’s Heartless found them, and Kairi’s light was able to restore him. Before the group can take off, and escape the ever-growing number of Heartless Yue, who’s body was very weak, snuck off to find Tian’s Heartless. As soon as Yue finds her, she’s oblivious to the Heartless around her, explains to Tian that she was never angry, and that she knew Tian would find her one day. When Sora, Kuroi, Donald, and Goofy come to rescue her, they’re surprised to find Tian back to her old self. Taking temporary shelter in Traverse Town, Yue and Tian have a long needed talk. Yue immediately want’s to go with Tian to help, though Tian argues that Yue’s hardly in a condition to walk, let alone right. Reluctantly, Yue agrees, and gives Tian her ‘lucky charm,’ a wire ring with a white bead, which Tian keeps with the mans ring Li-hua and Zuan gave her for her fourteenth birthday. After many trials, the group meets Ansem, who had taken Yue from Traverse Town to open the door. Upon defeating Ansem, Tian is surprised to find both Riku and Long on the other side of the door. She’s reluctant, but is given encouragement by her friends and King Mickey. With Yue’s help, the door is locked on either side. To her surprise, they found Kairi in the near distance. After a tremor, Yue fell to Kairi’s side, and the twins were growing apart. The last thing Tian was able to tell her was that she promised to return with Long, and told Yue to wait for them. After the worlds are restored, Tian walked with her friends down a dirt path. It is agreed that they needed to find King Mickey, Long, and Riku, but none of them know how. Surprisingly enough they’re quick to cross path’s with the King’s dog, Pluto with a letter from the King and follow him into the distance. Shortly after the party ends up in Castle Oblivion with vague and cryptic messages about find the true memories. Along the way, Tian begins to remember two friends she had as a little girl. Namine, who was also friends with Sora, Riku, and Kairi, and Mitsuki, Tian and Yue’s only friend from their homeworld. Unknown to the party, however, they’re being followed by a woman with red hair. Eventually, they find Riku in the castle, however he’s just as hostile as he was in Neverland, if not more. He feels as though Sora and Tian betrayed him, Namine, and, in Tian’s case, Mitsuki. They fight more than once over this, all the while Tian is feeling frustrated, and a little hurt. Soon, Tian forgets about Kairi, Yue, and Long completely, all she can remember is Mitsuki and Namine. What’s more, her rings have changed in to friendship charms, one that was supposed to be Mitsuki’s was given to her to help Tian brave out storms. However, Tian is able to admit that things are making less and less sense. After a heated argument with Sora, Tian angrily follows, and with a card given to her by Axel, she arrives in the world she was born in. In her old bedroom Tian happily find’s Mitsuki, however her friend explains to Tian she wasn’t the one she wanted to see the most. Confused, a glimmer of her true memories resurface, and her rings return to their true forms. Mitsuki explains that Namine rewrote everybodies memories once they stepped into the castle. And that Mitsuki has the ability to shatter a person’s essence, the master of the castle, Marluxia would have used Mitsuki as a Plan B should Namine fail. And that the Riku they’ve been fighting is only a replica of the real Riku. Knowing this, the party chooses to forgive them. The woman who followed them revealed herself to be Kazehi, and that she lived in the castle long before the guy’s in the black coat showed up. After a long, tiring battle with Marluxia, there is a choice to be made. Either keep the memories they have now, or have their old memories return, but forget about the events in the castle. Knowing this mean’s forgetting about Mitsuki and Namine, they choose to have their old memories back. But, to get their memories back, the party needs to sleep, though they’re guarantied they’ll be cared for. And a promise from Kazehi to watch over them. Before going to sleep, Tian is given a lotus from Mitsuki. She assures her that just because Tian forgets her, won’t chance the fact that the event’s in the castle happened. With a promise to start over, Tian falls into her deep slumber.
